I suck.
Apparently, it’s a law that one must fully stop at the end of a private drive before entering traffic. I’m ashamed to admit I didn’t know that was a law — but unfortunately, the police officer that pulled me over was quite aware.
I don’t really want to talk about it.

Reminds me of an old joke. A cop pulls someone over for failing to come to a full stop at a stop sign. The guy says hey, I slowing down enough is the same as stopping. So the cop starts hitting him with his stick.
The guy says “STOP! STOP!”.
The cop says – “Do you want me to stop – or just slow down ?”
