Busy, Busy, Busy

Work (all kinds) has me currently very busy, so my blog usually suffers. That, and since my blog was spamming folks, it took more of it’s fair share of yesterday morning away from me as well. So instead of some enlightening, meaningful, comedic quip — I give you a picture of a recycling bin.

Linux Journal Sponsored Recycling!

Here’s the recycling bin Linux Journal sponsored at our school district. Yay for green penguins! ;)

That must be great working in IT for a school district. You pretty much run the place yourself, eh?

I would love to move to a smaller town (10,000 or so) and rule the school IT department.

It has it’s ups and downs. :)

I do have a part time assistant, who largely helps with my poor organization skills. (She’s keeps me on track)

How exactly does one sponsor a recycling bin?

One pays $15. That’s it. :)

The “Students Going Green” group comes around and empties the bins on a regular basis. The money is to pay for the bins, and awareness propaganda, etc.

It’s actually a pretty neat idea, I hope the students keep it up.

How do I get my Mad Cow as my avatar instead of your Linux Penguin? Not that your Linux penguin isn’t the Bomb, I just like my Mad Cow better. Plus my Hot Mom made it for me, so you know….

Also, if you send me your address, I’ll mail you a check for $15.00 so your school can do “Mad Cow Recycling.” Because that’s probably better than “Hot Chicks Dig Smart Men Recycling.”

Janiece: Check out http://www.gravatar.com — it’s some universal avatar thingymabob. If you sign up, any site using gravatars (which my theme apparently does, yay me) will automagically show your cow.

And the recycling? Awesome! I’ll email you the address, and whom the check needs to be written to. Thank you!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s busyness (and business) is getting in the way of blogging. Darn rat race!
